Quick verdict
The TS2 10W is TwoTrees' long-running open-frame diode laser, now $257 with risers on the official store. You get a 10W optical module with a motorized autofocus probe, a 450 x 450 mm bed, Wi-Fi through an ESP32 controller, and a flame detector with an emergency stop. TwoTrees claims 8 mm plywood cuts and TechRadar cut 6 mm plywood cleanly, but the 10,000 mm/min rated speed and 10W output make it a patient machine. Air assist needs a pump that is not in the base price. A TS2-20W version is sold separately from $499 if you need more cutting power.
What you still need
An air assist pump (or the $376 bundle with honeycomb and pump), a honeycomb bed, ventilation or an enclosure with exhaust, laser safety glasses for everyone nearby, a fire extinguisher, a rotary for cylinders, and optionally a LightBurn licenceMaterial reality check
Cuts plywood, basswood, cardboard, paper, felt, leather and thin dark opaque acrylic. Engraves wood, bamboo, leather, slate, coated or anodized aluminum, coated glass and stainless steel at slow speed. It cannot cut clear or blue acrylic, glass or any metal. Never laser PVC or vinyl.Better alternative if
if you want 20W cutting power and a touchscreen for not much more, the LONGER Ray5 20W starts around $420: LONGER Ray5 20WScores

Pros and cons
Why we like it
- Very low price for a 10W optical machine with a 450 x 450 mm bed
- Motorized autofocus probe, rare at this price
- Wi-Fi, USB and TF card control through an ESP32 board and phone app
- Flame detector and emergency stop as standard
- Clear upgrade path: 20W module, extension kit, rotary and air assist bundles
Watch out for
- Kit assembly with thin instructions; owners and reviewers report a fiddly setup
- No air pump in the base price, so you need the $376 bundle or your own pump for clean cuts
- Rated speed of 10,000 mm/min is slow next to newer diodes
- Open frame with loud fans, according to reviewers
- At 10W, thick cuts are slow compared with 20W class machines
