This video demonstrates how to use CAM user parameters in Fusion 360 to eliminate repetitive manual updates of values like chamfer offsets and stock to leave. The tutorial covers creating and applying parameter variables, reusing them across CAM setups, and adding custom descriptions for documentation. This technique helps standardize workflows, reduce errors, and save time for both production runs and general CAM operations.
Description
If you’re tired of manually updating your chamfer offsets, stock to leave, or other repetitive CAM values in Fusion 360, this video is for you. In just 3 minutes, I’ll show you how to use CAM user parameters to standardize your setups across multiple operations and parts. You’ll learn how to: 1) Create and apply user parameter variables for chamfer offset or radial stock to leave 2) Reuse variable parameters across CAM setups to avoid mistakes and save time 3) Add custom descriptions to documen

Would be better if you have dedicated Manufacturing Parameters in the manufacturing environment.
This is an awesome feature. I use it for when I'm designing wood working projects. I can adjust all the dimensions for each part from a single box.
Great to see some new Fusion 360 cpntent
I thought this was around a long time ago I wish they would give access to the params while in CAM…hopefully soon. I’d use it more if I didn’t have to hop between CAM and design to setup my ops with parameters.
- Well, that was A LONG TIME COMING! - Better late than never, I guess, though.
