The video reviews a cheap electric tapping arm purchased from Amazon, testing its functionality and exploring the various tap collet standards. The reviewer discovers the machine uses ISO collets, which are not widely available in the US, and experiments with different collet types to find compatible options. After mounting the arm on a welding table and conducting tests, the reviewer concludes that while the machine works, its limitations and the difficulty in sourcing collets make it less practical than a drill press for most users.

This is the first video I'm watching from your channel and tomorrow I'm gonna start working as a manufacturing engineer in a midsize manufacturing company. I'm already thinking I'll be watching more of your videos in the future! Thanks, it was awesome!
Why on earth do they not make three flats shank taps? Taps are very often used in a drill chuck in a drill press, a lathe or a hand drill. They would be great for a tapping arm because you could just use a keyless drill chuck.
Helpful video thank you
Added to my list. Now to decide wether i really need it.
Just imagine hooking up 3 servo motors to the arm joints so you could G-Code position it to anywhere on the workbench automatically. Complete tapping automation.
