Overview
The blue tape and CA (super glue) method is the most popular workholding technique in the CNC community. Apply blue painters tape to both the wasteboard and the bottom of your stock, then bond them with CA glue. This creates a strong hold that can be easily separated after cutting. This kit includes a roll of 2-inch ScotchBlue tape and a bottle of medium-viscosity CA glue with accelerator.

Pros
- Holds stock flat without any clamps in the cutting path
- Works on virtually any flat material including wood, acrylic, and MDF
- Extremely cheap per use compared to vacuum tables or clamps
- Easy release by twisting the workpiece after cutting
- No holes or damage to the finished workpiece
Cons
- Requires flat stock and a flat wasteboard surface to work well
- CA glue needs 30-60 seconds to cure before cutting
- Not strong enough for very aggressive cuts or heavy lateral forces
- Accelerator spray has strong fumes and should be used with ventilation
- Can fail if surfaces are dusty or not properly prepared
